yorkies

Are not they supposed to have yorkies dewclaws on their hind legs?
I wonder if yorkies were bred to have no spurs.
N Yorkies not supposed to have rear spurs, but that does not mean anything if you do not yorkie (apart from display). Most responsible breeders of any breed of dog, breed the spurs later. Only certain breeds should have rear dewclaws (Great Pyrenees, Bernese mountain dogs and Briards) If you have a dog who has spurs later visit … the claw is not bound by the bone at all. The claw is just hangs there and hangs in contrast to the front ram bone attached and should be there. The dew claw back is not really a problem, except that they are easily torn and bleeding profusely. If your dog tears his post spur, it will to go to the vet immediately. Some owners have removed the ram back in the same time makes sterilization / sterilization to prevent future trauma, but mainly the ram back is only a cosmetic problem – not medical.
