My dog ate my thermostat cable. How can I reconnect them?
The wires coming out of the house are red and white. The cables that come the A / C units are blue and yellow. How can I connect them properly.
Turn off the indoor unit. Inside is important, because that is where is the transformer for the control system of t-stat. Simply twist the wires together and seal with duct tape. Wire nuts, if any, would be better, but still used electrical tape to keep the elements. Oh, if you are sure the wires were originally connected, then the polarity does not matter here, but go from red to yellow and blue to white. LOL Gordon's reply. Do you have to give the dog a Milk Bone every time I wanted A / C?
