white german sheperd dogs

Why and how a German shepherd dog can be white?
I'm thinking of adopting a second dog from the animal shelter county. They sent me photos of all dogs in the house, and it seemed like one of them. He is 2 years old, male German Shepherd Dog. However, their color is white. I've never seen a GSD to be completely white. I tried to ask why the housing and how a GSD is white and said they did not know anything about it. GSD Are not you supposed to be black and in color? O error tells me the dog race?
While purebred German shepherd who happen to be white are less common, and not recognized by dog show people – who cares? Unless you want a show dog, just does not matter. And unlike the previous observation of someone, color has nothing to do with health problems like displaysia etc (although hip dysplasia is common in Shepherds and many other big races – but not due to pigmentation) Furthermore, any race can produce the occasional albino. We have lived in the Northwoods of 20-odd years and have seen 3 different albino deer around our house at the time. A friend of mine had a magnificent Albino Dalmatian perfectly healthy. Of course he could not "show" if she wished, but what a babe! In cats, a true albino is often dull, but I know that relationship with Albino dogs. Personally, I would have preferred the uniqueness of that of a white dog that looks to each other:) One more thing: I am an unabashed MUTT LOVER! PS: Hello down there – What the hell are you doing going on breeding for color? This beautiful dog is in the pound and finding a home for God's sake. As for a GSD "supposed" to any color except white – again, that's just the position of the AKC and is irrelevant to this question!
