My dog peed on my backpack, it stinks! What I can do?
I have a north face hot shot "that seems to be mostly resistant water. I can not pinpoint exactly where my dog peed on it, but it seems that the smell comes from within. The bag is black and silver inside. Not a normal size backpack, one of the largest camping. What I can do!?!
Yikes! If you can not put in the washer, then empty out, turn it inside out and shake a liberal amount of baking soda everywhere, especially when it sucks. This will kill most scents. Then put in the sun to air for several hours. Otherwise, put it in the washing machine if it can be hot (see the bag for washing instruction labels) and add 1 / 2 cup baking soda to the detergent normal. You should probably also the air dry in the sun to avoid damage to the bag in the dryer.
