Waste Pet
I am in my apt one month w / no pets, my carpet now smells like after your pet. Will I be responsible for new carpet?
I've never had a pet and now, a month after moving into my apartment is smelling like after your pet. I tried to pet deodorizers and carpet, but now smells like an animal was urinating in a bush of roses! I have washed everything possible to prevent smell and even I found fleas! If I have pets and now it smells and looks (fleas) I have had pets in my house for years, I will be responsible for the cost of carpet replacement?
If you had a pet have fleas in the apartment. Here, by law, if a pet owner is required to spray the flea between tenants. But few do. I complained immediately. They need to spray or mist of the place and clean the carpet. First, get a copy of the laws of the owner first. So if I were you, I could write a letter and keep a copy of complaining odor and fleas do not care what they decided to handle the situation. This should help protect against the owner trying to claim that were responsible for the carpet. And keep track of calls and answers or resolution. Good Luck.
