Warm Fleece
Will a fleece layer Northface and shell / liner to keep as warm as a Northface winter jacket while skiing?
I have a fleece Northface for Christmas and saw Northface liners at EMS (and are quite cheap). Do these two layers to stay as warm as a winter jacket when Northface I'm skiing? I really I have no desire to spend $ 300 on a Northface ski jacket.
The North Face Denali fleece (and similar styles) is a jacket interlayer designed to be worn under a shell when used for skiing or inclement weather. Most wool is not windproof. Addition a liner would probably do little to reduce the amount of cold air to get through the wool, especially while skiing. Only one or fleece Windbloc windbreaks provide wind protection that a hard shell or soft.) However there is no need for a North Face shell unless you absolutely want to compress wool in the shell of TNF. Even some other brands of bullets accept the zipper of TNF. Similarly, other brands like Marmot, Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, and even EMS shells have a better chance of doing such a good job as the skin of TNF. Ah, yes … Nordic skier's elegance is correct, but unfortunately you not really generate the same amount of body heat, while downhill skiing. I rarely wear a shell on skis and I'm sweating my butt … not when driving on a mountain at 35 mph.
