what problem solving a train tunnel?
I'm trying to do an assignement but I can not understand what the purpose for using a train tunnel. Does anyone know why train tunnels are made? What is the object of the invention of the train tunnels?
The trains have a limited ability to climb slopes, due to the soft metal wheels metal tracks pulling a lot of dead weight behind them. Construction tunnel eliminates miles of road construction and excavation grade and results in cost savings in construction, the distance traveled and fuel spent. It also saves time.
