can die or suffer an electric shock from the railroad tracks?

I'm from Australia and was wondering if you can get an electric shock or even die because of playing the wrong line? outdoors, when you jump a fence and run across the tracks I've never had a discharge electric, but I think I've heard of people being hurt her? Or is this just for the subway trains? tracks are actually living?

This would depend in Australia, where, of course. In Queensland, there are some areas of overhead electric railway lines (at a voltage of 25 kV AC), that while the current is via overhead cables can still be electrocuted by the current lane, if a train is close and is making the connection between the cables and bars. It's the tracks that make the complete circuit, after all. Sydney Light Rail is also power lines, a 750v DC, so it could applied, while the Melbourne tram system is 600v DC overhead. DC voltage can actually be more dangerous because it can cause the person to be electrocuted to grab firmly on the (in this case) cables or rail. In my opinion there is not electrified conductor rail (ie, 3 or 4 along the railway tracks running) systems in Australia. Having said all this, is far better to avoid stepping directly on rails anywhere, just in case. They can also be slippery …! Getting over the rails and be as careful as possible.
