Trainer Shock

Shock pads for dogs that jump?
Having problems with a Boston Pug that jumps up on chairs at the table. A trainer suggested getting some shock pads. Does anyone know what company makes them, what they are called, and anything about them.
We have tried the squirt bottle, slamming paper, and everything else under the sun. Shock collars not good for dogs? We have a shock collar and she has only been shocked once or twice. I have never heard of anyone against them, as some elderly communities don’t even allow wooden fences anymore. Every vet and trainer we have seen has praised them. Not sure what you guys are refering to.
They are called scat mats they are used for dogs or cats to keep them off of the furniture. I have attached a link to Drs. Foster & Smith dog magazine, anything you want for a dog from Food to training tools are in this magazine.
