Strong hips for basketball?

I'm a skinny 130 pounds, but play a lot of jumps Nash Herky basketball-style. Over the past few years Ive had severe recurrent hip shooting pains which became unbearable to walk. I'm starting to think it's because I have the flexibility of the hip and poor are simply not strong enough. What do you suggest? Squats? changes in the diet? resistance training? Im in a lot of pain right meow

Strecthing not everyday, especially for the hips, even if not practice. Shadow boxing practice. Like a boxer .. U know that hips tough fighter … learn from there, I! Good luck
