Why is my toy poodle smell so terrible?
We have adopted a toy poodle abused few weeks ago and I can not imagine our way to dispose of their terrible smell. A day after a bath of your hair is oily and dirty and it smells like I've been rolling in the garbage. We think it is 3 or 4 years old, but can not be sure. I use special shampoo recipe sulfur and bathing every 2 to 3 days. I had prepared and shaved very short, eat a raw vegetarian food especially dry formulated for healthy skin and hair. It is an indoor dog and spends little time out. I suppose that the teeth should be cleaned, but does not seem bad enough to be the cause.
You will be surprised how badly a dog can smell your teeth! Take the dog to the vet to rule out any other problems. Sometimes you can have something stuck between the teeth or mouth ROF. As it rots, it stinks. Can also be an anal gland problem. See a vet.
