You find a breed that is the study, and good with children, which also coincides with their lifestyle. It is also a good idea to bring your child with you, and let the puppy collect the child. When my son was 2, we have a Boston Terrier. We looked at all types of puppies. Chihuahuas (my fav), Bassetts, Beagles, Shih Tzus, Beagles, etc. The only puppy foolish enough to climb over him and kissing him was a puppy from Boston! She loved him! Oh, how they play! The offspring of others saw it coming and ran! He was exceptionally good with the puppies as my parents have a farm, and he'd play with the ducks and chickens, etc. Unfortunately, one year later, someone stole the patio.
