Tough Dog
Tough Dog
Can a dog really be a source of emotional support in difficult times?

I live alone in a new city and have no friends or family to lean on. I wondered if having a pet can help alleviate some of the blues.

Having a dog can help with some of their problems in a couple of ways: as a dog need daily exercise, walking your dog or take him to the local dog park can help you find other people with similar interests can lead to new friendships and other activities in their community. Dogs are very loyal listeners and can judge emotions very well. they can hear their problems and not telling anyone what it is, it can be nice, because sometimes all you need is simply to have an outlet to vent our problems so we can begin to resolve on our own. Having a dog can give you some exercise as you will be walking every day and will also help with feelings of depression or the blues. They are always interested in walking distance, so that helps regulate your own hours and encourage you to resist sinking into a depressive state. Look at what activities and groups are available to pet owners in your new area. Check to see if there are "dog friendly" outdoor cafes near where you can eat and take your pet. If you decide to go free pets – talking with a church local or local recreation center. see if there are groups of young adults who can help break the ice to meet new people. Remember to smile and be nice to people in your building and in their daily activities. friends everywhere waiting to be presented to you, to begin the presentations!
