Standard Dog

I like to run with my poodle. Our current term is 15 miles in one day. Is it safe for my dog?
She is 5 years old and has never shown signs to be sore. We're training for a marathon together. I hope to have it up to 26 miles with me in 8 weeks. Always make sure you have plenty of water.
Your dog can say it's better than any human. Poodles are great runners (marathon but the organization can not bear to leave you in a race). Be Border Collies are at least 20 miles a day chasing a herd of sheep around. And dog training for the Iditarod sled can run even further. Keep a close eye for any muscle pain, and check their feet before, during and after a race. Make sure the floor is not too hot – in the sunny days of summer can reach 120 degrees! That seriously could burn their feet. If you want to use boots, make sure that custom fit – use dog sleds people to use. Nothing worse than ill-fitting shoes in a runner! Besides water, you will need something to eat for a period of over an hour to prevent hypoglycemia – Something high in calories and easy to digest. Perhaps the best thing would be for the new type canned foods that come in bags? Avoid any food with "products" in it. Nutro dog food is great and have some food bag would be easy to carry and feed on a career. http://www.nutroproducts.com/ncdogpcr.asp
