How do I prevent my clothes become yellow?

I live in the country, so you have well water. When I wash the clothes turn yellow. Even when using bleach in my whites, they still have shades of yellow. What is causing this? We used a rust remover in our water softener, but stopped because we did not really see the difference. When we moved here, the water was very clear and clean and we had no problem washing our clothes. Even our showers are taking sediment and rust stains. What I can do to stop this? Do they make water filters for large family and use of livestock? I ie to filter the water (to remove rust, sediment, minerals). We also have to buy purified water (about 1-2 liters a day), as our water it smells and tastes bad.

I have lived in an area where I chose the color white that I wanted to be on any day of washing. Do not drink the water, but had to shower and wash clothes. Things smelled to high heavens and all stained. I was lucky in a way ….. neighbors to share information about what to do. First, stop buying bleach white clothes and did the discoloration worse. Developed for some chlorine better but not great. Our water is very alkaline and that is what caused the problem. I was high in iron, but has found that manganese caused the stain. I learned on my own assistant using the aid of all things fresh lemon — — worked to clean my dishwasher, bath / shower and toilet. Citric acid is that it does. Yes, they do a commercial water filtration system that uses salt as a filter for human use. I do not think water will damage their animals because it only causes problems mineral nature. In my next house I purchased the system, Culligan, mentioned and solved my problems with the stains and odor. Good luck!
