What is the best way to punish a puppy?
Currently I have a Chiuhu 8 weeks old I've had since I was 6 weeks. When I arrived, she had no teeth but now they are coming and that is a monster chewing. She has lots of toys but would rather chew my jeans, cords shoes, shirt or ears or fingers. She is only 1 pound and a few ounces and I want to be sure not to hurt her, but I have to teach your good and evil before she thinks shes boss. Any advice would be very helpfiull! Also need advice on the proper way to train a little thing like her drawer.
Punishing your puppy is not the answer. You need to learn to reward acceptable behavior and ignore unacceptable behavior. For a start not leave clothes, etc. around where the pup can be with them. If she tries to chew his fingers, so get up and leave or put the puppy on the floor and ignore her for a while. When chewing their toys, etc. quietly praise and happy, but their reward with a treat. You will soon find out what you can chew and what can not.
