Thinking of opening an indoor dog park – Do you use it and if so what would you be willing to pay?
The facility will in good condition. It would be a great run around the area, a hairdresser at home / veterinarian, a pet collection service, shipping service (during the night as well) a pet shop, lounge to the human companion, a dance, dog training classes, possibly a place for the local animal shelter hold adoption events. The floor will be K9 grass (a synthetic grass) for cleaning. There will also be a play area outside for sunny days hot. Any input is greatly appreciated!
Sounds good, except for all operations. No matter what they "think" that will cost, add 25% and probably close. I would pay no more than $ 10 – $ 15/day. However, before you start … You should be aware (I'm sure you have): Land area required cost and build out on – What size do you need? Location zoning requirements in general – if there are problems zoning, are you close enough to draw your customer base. Insurance – Get quotes now. Dog care, construction, dog bites, liability, etc. Talk to a good agent who is familiar ensure veterinarians and dog day care. When built, what can earn 50% capacity? The economy will turn around – one day – can wait until "someday" to start earning money? Can support himself for one year beyond the initial investment to open the doors? I used to tell real estate agents to have a year of income in the bank before taking their classes. Again, the "hump" becomes easier. Most do not even get to the hump.
