Why revoke membership AKC puppy mills?
I keep hearing that you can get an AKC dog from a pet store. From AKC is so demanding, why do not revoke the rights of people AKC supply pet stores, making it very easy to spot a puppy dog mill. I know it's only one record, but why not revoke your right to use the AKC NAME in dogs.
AKC registration service is a first … and rights have been revoked when things are not up to standard … but not their job to do anything else. It is the work of USDA and the implementation of the Employment Act close local facilities that are in contempt of the laws. Most AKC puppymills not register their dogs, which I will not have to do DNA testing necessary to use often amounts / prey, as they are expensive, so most have just started to register their dogs with APRI, or CKC (Continetal Kennel Club). Often AKC puppies come registered commercial breeding facilities. Some are clean enough that you can eat on the floor and have their own veterinary staff. It is my preference not to buy dogs whose parents live their entire lives in small boxes if they are clean or not.
