puppy rabbit

I will adopt a jack russell terrier puppy, but I have a rabbit?
The puppy is a woman of about 7 months old. The rabbit is an adult male. They keep in a cage in the backyard and take it out every day to run in the yard. I worry that the ERC will harm the rabbit or attempt to harm, even when the rabbit is in its cage. Any advice? the rabbit is very friendly, he never bites me oh and his cage is always in the shade.
Jack Russell Terrier (and almost all the terrier breeds and some toy breeds) were first bred to kill rodents and rabbits. Blood is hard to chase, attack, hunting rabbits and pain and all animals such as rabbits (Guyenne pigs, etc.). In 7 months, it is too late to get the two to use each other, even younger would be more difficult. If you still are planning to get the dog, keep the rabbit in sight! Even in is cage, the dog will seek and be surprised at how dogs are really smart in getting through the cages.
