puppy obedience?
I have a mixture of 4 MTH old Lab, and hes been working on obedience training for a few weeks. So far, they may sit very well, and can be set if I use a hand command, but cannot seem to get the hang of command. Furthermore, we have been working to stay a little longer a week and has not progressed at all. So, what can I do to get used to your voice commands. And how do I teach stay!?! Thanks!
Kudos on using hand commands and voice. Most people seem to overlook this important communication tool. Have you tried commands using hand along with the voice? In other words, both the voice command and hand simultaneously command, and then when your puppy obeys, reward him. After a little practice (I'd Give it some separate training sessions spread over a few days), try using the voice command alone. Call take place quickly. If all else fails, you can also try the method that he worked in teaching the commands of the hand (but only with voice). As for the "stay" always use the method detailed in the following link.
