How to socialize a 8 month old female Pug, Min Pin and / Pug mix (8 weeks, male)? She is very alpha.?
Yes that is a "designer" the dog, but he is so adorable! Jade our Pug is very alpha, but it seems right to him now. It's all about him and of course it does skiddish. I mean here is the Pug 17 pounds, a whole 3.2 pound puppy! LOL Any advice would be helpful.
If the other dog submits to the alpha, which should not have no problem at all. I have a very alpha dog and our other submits and no problems in 2 years. If both are alpha, you have a job on their hands, and socialization does not necessarily help. There was a professional trainer to help as two alphas need to take charge of both. If the puppy is tolerating the other above it appears that things are good. Will be adjusted to each other and usually older dogs are very gentle with puppies. I just leave them alone in the first week or so and if things keep going well, I'd say they're very well together.
