Has anyone taken the JKL Training Academy Pet Grooming and certification program is all well and good enough?
Wanting to be a dog Groomer. If it took only JKL Training Certificate Program of the Academy (not the diploma), I know what I do next?
I think having a dog certificate of readiness is a big waste of money. I'm a professional dog hairdresser and I have no type of certification. I've been preparing for more than 10 years and was a bully at the Playboy Mansion. The best thing to do is try to get a job preparation workshop and will teach you first hand how to groom dogs and will learn to get attention. Being a dog abuser does not happen overnight either. It took at least 2 years to learn to swim, a clip nails. the seat and foot brush and comb a dog properly. Then I took another 2 years to learn sections of race. Now the boyfriend i some dogs for the show. I just hope you know what you're in for. Grooming is a very thorough job stress and has a lot of patience. It takes a special person to do such work. Let me put it this way you can kiss off having time for lunch and breaks. People leave their dogs and want to be done 10 minutes after emptying the trash. Then on top of that the owners do not bother to train, socialize or brush their dogs do their job very difficult. Then get upset when they yell that your dog is so matted that she will have to shave. They do not realize how stesso a dog is de-mate. Then tell them they need to brush your dog more often to avoid matting and say they can not do it on your own dog bites.
