pet puppies

Do all pet stores get their puppies from puppy mills?
What about kittys and other animals like birds and even rodents (hamsters, gerbils, rats) and rabbits etc etc? Are there places like puppy mills, where animals are cruelly treated and bred to death and executed when they are of no use to them now? Besides, what can I do to help stop these puppy mills, besides not buy dogs from pet stores? All ideas and suggestions are welcome.
Yes, no responsible breeder would allow their animal to be placed through a third party … that's what is a pet store, a third animal is made without performing proper screening of potential housing and the sole criterion for placement is that the funds clear — that is not what a responsible breeder would do it because they care about what they produce and want to make sure they go to a decent home. The only way to stop the factories is the not to support them – their only purpose is to make money and do not make money, go out of business – are a business and that's all. No company will continue that market has not by its services or goods, so if you can not sell what they produce and lose money, then they will go into a different business. If laws are made, which only affects legitimate breeders because millers use their funds to avoid regulation and legitimate breeders will try to follow the laws. One thing you can do besides not to purchase a pet from a pet store is not buy anything from any pet store that deals with live animals. I've known people:) who have gone to pet stores dealing with live animals, filled their baskets with things they would buy and then after the bells and total several hundred dollars was told that they have announced that they decided to buy this at a store that supports mills and offers live animals and left … leaving the issues that have to be reshelved and owners or knowledge workers who lost a sale due to the practice of selling live animals. Then go to a store that sells live animals and do my shopping and make know that the only reason that they are getting my business and nobody I know is they have no support from the mills. BE VOCAL … let stores know they are losing money if they support plants and that are making sales if they do not. If the stores lose money, will no longer support the practice of the mills. Consumerism is strong and / can and does change policy. Add: puppy mills are not against the law to "report" to anyone is useless and a waste of effort. In addition, again, No responsible breeder would put one of your puppies and kittens / whatever through a third party and that includes pet stores. There are puppies and kittens or whatever is available in a pet store that are not produced by someone from the greed for what they are supporting the mills and irresponsible if greeding supports a pet store that sells puppies / kittens / whatever …
