Pet Exercise

Does anyone have a beagle as a pet in an apartment in the city? Do you have any pointers?

We are considering a beagle, we flexible hours to give a lot of kids outside exercise time, but I'd like to get some feedback from others who have raised a beagle pet in an apartment.
