How can you teach easy un''''Lhasa Apso dog tricks such as back and leg?
Ive two dogs GTO Lhasa Apso and im trying to follow all the tutorials on youtube and not work at all! If you have a dog like then plese could have a little help! Im really desperate because my nan loves his dog soooo much and I love to make a spectacle of his trick puppy for her birthday in 2 months! Please Help!
I taught my shih tzus as follows: GIVE PAW You let them see and smell a gift, put it in the palm of your hand and make a loose fist around it. They will try everything possible to get the treatment and when it touches your hand with your foot (ie, using their feet to seek treatment of his fist) open your fist and release processing, eg DAR leg and lots of praise. ROLL OVER Get in the lying position. Hold a treat in hand odor, smell it and move slowly over his head and had to look and look up .. and slowly move your hand in an anti-clockwise over your head, slowly and his head and the body will follow. Hard to explain, but try to direct its gaze to the treatment so it falls into place. Obviously ROLL keep repeating over and when they do so that associate the word with the action. It's always good to have a signal or hand gesture to go with these things (for deaf dogs or dogs out of earshot). With Roll Over I just made a move in the opposite direction with my hand every time you do it and Give Paw, always takes my hand, palm upwards. Hope this helps.
