How can I train my dog to keep his paws down?
I did a dumb thing and taught my dog to sit and shake at the same time. Now every time it tell him to sit, he sits and throws his paw at me. He also does it anytime someone pets him. He’s a huge yellow lab and sometimes it really hurts. He hit me in the nose last night and made a scratch. I’ve tried to push his paws down and say no but he just doesn’t seem to get it. He’s 10 months old.
takes time but repeating the the no or whatever technique you use will work eventually. Dont allow him to do it when you see him start. tell him no when he start to move that paw up. bad habits can sometimes be hard to break but it takes patience. what was cute when smaller sucks when they get older.
