Patriotic Dog
Cute…..but also harmful???
I have a 4yr old black labrador retriever and all of her life i have painted her toenails. Orange for halloween, red and green for chrismas, and red white and blue on patriotic holidays. My family absolutely loves it, my dog doesn’t mind it and its rele cute. But could it b damaging her nails. I guess its a little late to b thinking of this…. its been 4 years but i would stop now if i found out it was harmful. I just use regular nail polish that u would buy at the store. Any thoughts would b appreciated 
O and i also make sure that its dry before i let her go. I kno better than to let her go off on her own with it still wet cuz she mite lick it off. And i’m not constantly painting her nails, just every now and again. Thanks for the answers so far!!!
Well, even when humans were nail polish its advisable that when you have it removed when its chipping that you leave your nails naked for a day or 2 to let it rehydrate and breathe. But if you don’t do that, there’s not much damage done.
Relax, they sell doggy nailpolish at the boutique we go to. So I’m sure quite a few people do it.
