Of Mice and Men-The construction of an optical mouse USB?
Hello. I'm in the writing phase of designing a USB optical mouse look like this: http://twitpic.com/1wsczx Now, I put my own custom logo for my online media group. I will be using an old iPhone 3 sg as below decks and a stainless steel cover with frosted plexiglass logo on it. I wonder how. It will be thin. I am also thinking of having to connect it via USB to mini USB cable so I have to change the power supply adapter, mini USB female. I want the blue light LED within the light illuminate the logo. I was thinking of gutting a retractable USB Belkin Op. Mouse, but do not have the LED inside. Can anyone help me? Is there a company that allows people to create a custom optical mouse?
Sounds like a good idea for a project, I think it would be better to hunt mice and find second-hand one that seems to have inside track pretty thin. You'll also need; A woman in mini-USB plug to mount on the side of the casing of the iPod.
