What is the appropriate age for these "stages of life"?
I have 5 year old twins, they are my first child and I wonder, when they should be beginning to understand simple concepts they will need for the rest of their lives .. as tying shoelaces, riding a bike two wheels, the shower on your own …
stepdaughter tied my shoes at the age of 4. showered on her own at age 6 … help me with the water temperature, though. was riding a bike at 5. all children are different. I know that teachers usually want the child knows how to tie his shoes by the time they begin kindergarten .. so you do not have to help an entire class with it. as far as riding a bike … start teaching now! your child can catch it immediately, or do take two summers. Trust your instincts. you know your baby:) if you try something too early, then used it right and youll be able to decide whether to continue or wait.
