Inch Natural

Viking natural gas grill has low pressure?
I have a 41 inch Viking gas grill that has very low pressure and sometimes not even light. I spent 3 hours cleaning each hole in the Burnes so it is not the problem. I think it is the regulator – if I can get the part and it is difficult to install? Grill is enlcosed brick.
Natural gas means gas piped from a utility company and the pressure is regulated in the underground where it enters your home. If it is propane, then it is likely to be the regulator. easily replaced, unless the installer buried it in something. is supposed to be out in the open, but protected from the weather, as it would be the typical barbecue. Most BBQ regulators reduce the LP (liquid propane) gas pressure between 2 and 10 psi, depending on the size of the grid. If you have a lot of burners (ie, 50,000 total BTU or more), then more pressure is needed to feed the flames. If you buy a replacement regulator on a BBQ shop (Depot, Lowe's, or hdwe others) get one for a large grill. If the regulator installed remotely (in the tank at a distance from the grid), which often can adjust the pressure of that by removing a cover and tighten the nut or in the center. If your grill has a typical installation BBQ (gas tank, regulator, hose black), measure the length of the hose into the present and look the part. $ 40 is typical. If you have spider webs or cocoons in the venturis that leads to the burners, a small bottle brush to clean. If you hear gas flowing to light the grill, but one or two burners to get almost no gas, is bugs. Wrap a bit of metal screen around the air intakes to prevent errors. If the burners get ALL anything, safety valve is either closed tank stick or throttle. If this is the safety valve off the tank, remove the hose fitting, replacing installation, open the valve LowLos s y. With gas, check connections and hoses for leaks with soapy water (Windex works for this)
