I am looking for a house trained dog campanion my elderly father in Marysville California.?
My father has Parkinson's and I worry about him being alone. I want to make it a dog trained to campanionship.
Looking for a partner who behaves well? If so look through the shelters for an older dog that has been surrendered without behavior problems and training. Looking for a service dog to help his father on the day to day tasks? If so contact Top Dogs USA, Delta Society or Assistance Dogs International. Delta ADI and maintain the list of instructors in your area. Top Dogs is a great program that provides, trains and certifies service dogs and are in Arizona, I believe. Looking for an assistance dog that can help with the basics at home, but it will not be necessary 24 / 7 in public and at home? If so consider the control of local shelter and assistance dog rejects renowned programs and connect with a coach local to help. You want a young dog, but one that is at least 2 years for smaller breeds and 3 years for the older one. The best of luck and ask if you need more information
