Healthy dog foods / treats?
My dog is about 10-11 years old now. It's a silky terrier Chihuahua crossed. Time to give of eat healthy foods, biscuits give you all the time and spoil it once in a while with our leftovers. However, in recent months has been with irritation with his left eye that keeps coming and going and I think it is related to the fat in your diet. Every time we give some leftover takeaways, which becomes the eyes and white eye irritation, and cannot move much. So that's really disturbing and really want to start feeding him properly, and I'm pretty sure cookies dry all these years is not very appetizing. So if you know a healthy dog food / treats recipes it really would. Thanks in advance:)
Assuming you're older dog is in otherwise good health, then it is good for dogs: pieces of fresh fruit and vegetables: bananas, apples, peaches, blueberries, strawberries, carrots, broccoli, etc (no grapes or raisins!) peanut butter (in a bone or piece of fruit or treat) Add a tablespoon or two of the following dry dog foods: yogurt (no artificial sweeteners), the 100% canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix), cottage cheese, applesauce (without sugar). You can also use these ingredients and mix it with some crackers, things a Kong toy and freeze overnight. My dog loves frozen foods Kong!
