What tool to tension 1000 feet of steel cable between 2 trees? Comealong not work-O-John Deere Full Size

Hello! Here is my dilemma: I'm doing a zip line on my property in the country (if you know what's Zipline – look, they are fun really!). Basically it a cable suspended between two anchors (in this case – the large trees), with an elevation change. Then, a pilot zips down the line with a pulley and harness climbing. If you get the height and speed, is a real explosion. Ok, back to my dilemma. I need something that tension 1000 'of 3 / 8 "steel cable galvanized. Along come, will not work. I have a full size John Deere tractor, so do not pull it tight enough. I know I need some type around, but I do not know the name of the tool. Perhaps a bulldozer? I need something more economical if you know what I mean that any proposal would be very welcome. Thanks in advance!

A 1000 'span is really long. I think you have unrealistic expectations of how tight you can get the cable. The tension Cable will be massive, if you do not have enough SAG. (you can say "banjo") What you are used to fix both ends? 3 / 8 "galvanized steel cable has a breaking strength of about 14.850 pounds and a safe working load of 2,970 pounds. A person over 200 pounds in half the time going forces generate enormous strain on the cable and anchor points. The fact that the one who comes along and tractors were not enough should tell you something. The typical that comes along is calculated tensions near the safe working load of the cable. I am a little worried that you may be a future Darwin Award runner-up.
