Fence Cage

I wan't to create a large cage for my two nymphs pet, but require materials to fence in?
I have an enclosure used by plants which is about 10 by 10 feat feat, but I have real fence / or network type of steel materials that actually contain the structure and make it a cage. Any suggestions? I have searched large cages in pet stores, but are too small or too expensive. Thanks
Hi George, a great deal of research I'm doing, says the use of wire glavanized (thoroughly cleaned before hand to remove the layers of zinc or oil) the size of 1 / 2 "mesh (their small heads can get caught) or pvc coated galvanized wire … However, if your chewing cockatoos are large, I try to find alternative materials. Whatever you do, just make sure the materials (mesh, wire net, wood) are safe for birds, cockatoos and specifically if you are planning to keep the outer cage in all that is completely safe from predators. Hawks will crash into the cage, try to open (sometimes successfully) to reach the source of food, so it can never be too careful. I belong to a large bird table in the network (www.theperch.net) I recommend to any owner of the birds found. You can become a member and make any and all questions that can ever be Re: cockatiels and get quick answers to some great knowledge. Alternatively, you can ask for some cheap sources of large flight cages. That could be your best bet at this point to ask people who have parrots and built or bought their own cages. I absolutely consider this site "is worth its weight in gold." If you decide to join, please say hi … my username is WonderMomma. Good luck!
