Is this good dog food for dogs?
The feed store has local brand of dog food a unique call. I have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel (male, 4 years old). The bag is said to help maintain healthy skin and coat and helps your joints. My CKCS are allergic to bite when we give eating "cheap things". Wonder if this will be a good choice for my Cav.
I do not think it would be a good option. Lamb used to feed Exclusive & Rice, with excellent results, but my puppy's stomach could not tolerate, and one of the dogs developed allergies, so we had to change. It is a good food, but not a good option for a dog with allergies. I only have to use lamb and rice, however. The chicken and rice contains gluten corn, which probably contribute to the itching. I suggest you California Naturals for a dog with allergies-which has only 3 ingredients, plus vitamins and minerals making it much less likely to cause an allergic reaction. It costs a little more per bag, but it will certainly be cheaper to feed a Knight-I spend only about $ 60/month feed four dogs at Cal Naturals.
