Does anyone know of any herbal preventative for Lyme disease in dogs?

We just moved to Massachusetts in California and have no experience with ticks. Looking for herbal, all natural ways to prevent Lyme disease in dogs, something I can buy myself and prepare for, not prepared tablets or chemical solutions. Thanks for any help! If you have a problem with me wanting to take care of my dogs with natural methods as opposed to chemicals produced by man please bother someone else. Thank you.

Well, Lyme disease is caused by a bacterium called Borrelia burgdorferi. When a vector tick bites your dog passes the bacteria to tissues of the dog and this places the organism causing the disease in a nice happy place (to which, anyway). It reproduces and causes disease. This is how Lyme disease. There are herbs that attack the mechanisms of the pathogenesis of this organism. It is susceptible certain antibiotics, however. The main trick would be to find something that would stay out of dog ticks. There are many arguments about many herbs, but there is no iota of evidence that any of these claims work. In addition, herbs containing chemicals. Everything in life, and use the products chemicals. We are biochemical machines "if you will. I see the problem with 'pills prepared' If you're talking about things like insect repellent, or whatever. They're safe. Oh yes, Borrellia not the man, and neither are their tick vectors. They are all natural. So their logic, they must be safe? The short answer to your question is simply "no."
