Boyfriend wants a dog – please suggest a race?
My boyfriend wants a dog. post-graduates from college this semester and I am researching breeds that might fit your lifestyle if you do not, then you have to get fish …. lol anyway, if someone could suggest a race that I could see that would be great! Dad. – My boyfriend is very physically active – surfing, playing on the beach, jogging, skateboarding, etc play college football. – Requirements of a race that likes to be active outdoors, but it's okay with us sitting at home while watching movies, cooking dinner, etc (also known as active Home not so hyperactive as he is outdoors.) – Small & med. no size xtra large dogs like Great Dane or St. Bernard. – Do not want a pomerinian, but I like:) we're in New Jersey.
Please edit and give your state if in U.S. so we can give advice that is best for your climate. If a large state or different country, please give your average high temperature in summer and winter high temperature and get lots of rain or snow? I asked because if it had been in a southern state, it would be difficult for a dog covered full exercise in the heat during the day, the same for the flat-faced breeds such as bulldogs, Pugs and Boston Terriers. The most athletic dog I can think of is a female Doberman Pinscher. I think women of average weight is 65 pounds. If you want something with more hair, and not import a cleaning bill every two months, I suggest a Springer Spaniel. Boston Terriers are a lot of fun, high energy and generally friendly dogs.
