Running with dogs – the best type of lead to use?
Ok so my husband goes 3 times a week, but I would start taking our collie with him. But all the clues we have are short, and the retractable one isn't easy to hold. Any person who is running knows of any good leads to use, decent prices (In pounds sterling, please) Yes when you run idiot – Hard plastic isn't exactly what you want to be holding the sweat! She is a Border Collie – who is raised to run to herd sheep – he likes it!
I take a 6 'thin (a bit less than 1 "I think) with leather strap and pull the tail through the handle to a loop that tightens around my wrist. The leather is good because it's an old, broken belt so it is soft and does not rub or burn if they end up in different directions or speeds different (eg stops suddenly smell a mouth or something). It also does not stain when wet or sweaty.
