I want to start doing Dog Psychology as a full time business in the UK?
Any information on getting started, which would necessary, insurance, etc.. or even the ideas on which to talk more you can know all I need, as I have been in my local employment office and the dog rehoming center and were not helpful at all. Any help is welcome, thanks. Sorry, I meant in the UK not.
If you have no degree of veterinary science, then your best associated with a veterinary surgery as some behavioral problems are caused by diseases (eg, Hyper / Hypothyriodism) and some conditions require the help of medication (such as Clomicalm in the storm phobia), so that peoples animals need to be checked by a veterinarian first physilogical to rule out problems including a complete physical examination and the Bloods (MBA & T4). (can not help with exact because I live in Australia) but often designed for new veterinary nurses / technicians are large (school ring train nurses and ask them or your local dog club) Go around and introduce yourself to the veterinarians in your area tell them they are available, form pads reference to them so they can fax / email Referals with the history of all animals and medical condition prior to the consultation. We found that we refer to a particular person more, because not only successful, but a) it's very nice to us and drops in say hello once in a while b) is happy chat with us on the phone if we have a simple problem, knowing that we will refer to it if the problem goes beyond us. Always send written reports to veterinary concerns, so they know what is going on and not feel a loop and will be more likely to refer back to you. Insurance wise must indemity professional and also to cover an injury to its customers (for example, trip and fall)
