What questions should I ask as I interview pet sitters? For my dog and cat, the need to find a good one.?
My dog and cat ever have been left alone and I'm hiring a nanny for a pet next weekend. I'm interviewing three. What should I do to them? Should I go to someone who will spend the night at home with them? Or simply someone who comes from several times a day? What are some lessons learned from their experiences? What should I look? What should I watch?
Go to www.petsit.com – the website for Pet Sitters International. They have a list of things to look for when hire someone. I am reluctant to leave a dog alone at night than a cat, but if your dog can handle it, should be OK if it's only a couple of nights. If you hire someone to keep pets in their place, be sure to see the first place. Is it clean? Is it safe? Are there places where your dog would be able to escape the yard (if applicable)? Will it be only to their animals? If other animals, get along with it? Even be allowed to interact with yours?
