Anaplasmosis in dogs is a serious illness?

We are considering an adoption, but the dog has been exposed to lymes and anaplasmosis. If anyone is familiar, may explain in English for someone a little silly (I) and is it serious? I understand the exposure is not the same as hiring, but I would be at safe.

Anaplasmosis is a tick-borne infection. In most cases, a dog becomes sick within 1-3 weeks after the bite, but some can get sick even months later. There can be no serious symptoms (more so with Lyme disease), but responds well to antibiotics and usually no lasting effects. Some vets recommend a round of antibiotics for dogs that have been exposed to Lyme and anaplasmosis. How 50% of dogs in some areas of the country have been exposed to these diseases. If you really want the dog, I would not allow the exhibition to stop him from adoption. Good luck.
