How to know if there is a diaper allergy?
I was wondering how to tell if your baby is allergic to a particular brand of diapers. DD red is always on your butt and change parties when their child, sometimes even around their legs. She does not seem worried about her but I was wondering if it is normal or whether they can be symptoms of an allergy diaper. We use Huggies Gentle Care.
Well, I knew my son had a diaper allergy because he developed a rash around his waist. Clearly it was not a typical "diaper dermatitis", so it was pretty clear that it was out of diapers for him. If you think it might be an allergy diaper rash, try switching for a week or so, and if improvement were probably right. We used pampers but first changed to 7 generation, and now the cloth diapers (but still use seventh generation. at night). It could be simply dermatitis diaper (you tried using any creams?), but it does not hurt to try changing brands. Good luck.
