Can a designer dog increased risk of health problems?
Yes they can. Despite the designer dogs what they have said that health can not be tested for health problems related to specific race. With the mixture of 2 different races you never know what the outcome. Temperament, hips, elbows can not be properly tested for issues, when the 2 breeds are prone to different diseases. Or if you run the risk of health are the same, then you can go double nothing else but trouble.
