What are the best deShedding tools for grooming dogs.?
Okay, I admit, I can get into the propaganda! Brutus, my Newfoundland, can produce a house full of shedding in a minute. Well, that might be a slight exaggeration. FURminator I've seen this stuff. They cost a lot. My last furbaby (laboratory / Shep /? Mix) did not have a double layer so that only occasionally necessary preparation. (Even though most days it did because it held the brush it was loved.) Gross daily grooming needs. Sometimes twice a day. Can anyone recommend a good preparation tool to reduce hair. If this really FURminator a good thing? What about other tools? The name "FURminator puts on the mind of a bald dog shivering and all finished in leather body. gasp.
A Newfoundland is not only a double layer, have a double layer long. In order to remove loose hair, you need tools that will literally "To the bottom of things" and let you brush the layer below the skin level. Second, use a brush waterproof. For Newfoundland coat, raincoat Univerasal oversized francs is probably the best. The pins on these professional-quality brushes are strong enough to get to the bottom in a coat of Newfoundland. Again, brush from the skin to line out, not only on the top of the layer. Do not forget classic "problem points" behind the ears, and in the armpit and groin. Finally, use sound metal comb with at least 1 1 / 8 inch long teeth spaced 1 / 8 inch apart, to get the last of the loose coat and as a way to check to ensure that you have gotten all the dead layer and place mats. A style "greyhound" in the middle / thick or what is called a comb "poodle" is what the use of advantages and is well worth the money paid for good.
