Does anyone know about Cushing's disease in dogs?

My dog has hypothyroidism and is being tested for Cushings too, he also has severe allergy problems. He is having an ACTH test and I am worried about his future.

I have a Siberian Husky mix Hypothyroidism Cushing (also, diabetes). Cushing is caused either by a tumor in the pituitary gland (brain) or an adrenal gland (one in each kidney). Tests show if the tumor is more likely in the pituitary or adrenal gland. If the pituitary gland, it is likely to be treated without surgery (brain surgery from dogs is rare). If the adrenal gland may be possible to surgically remove the tumor. Most (I think something like 75%) of the time, the tumor is putuitary the gland. My dog is and treated with a drug called Lysodren. It is very expensive: (luckily for very small dose – one pill per week. The pills run around $ 6.00 to $ 7.50 each, depending on where you buy. My dog was diagnosed a year ago and is doing well. Good luck!
