Crown Canopy
Mission Bay Park San Diego CA, Bonfire Permit?

Hi,
Can someone please explain to me how permits work at
Mission Bay Park specifically Crown Point.

I am hosting my birthday party there this saturday, and I was wondering if
I could have a canopy and table there? Would this require a permit?
Only 20 people are coming. Is it too late to get a permit, since tomorrow is friday?
And I was planning it on saturday? How much do the permits cost, if needed?
And where do you get the permit?

Please please help. I didn’t belive a permit was necessary, since I read on the website that a permit is only needed for a group over 45… please help. I’m really frustrated if I would have to cancel my party.

You don’t need a permit for 20 people but the area might have already been booked by a large party with a permit.
Check for availability:

Canopys and a table is fine.

Food is allowed on site but alcohol is not permitted. No glass containers are allowed.

Fires are only allowed in fire rings because of incidents like this

Fire rings are first come, first serve. Many people get there at dawn on the weekends to get a ring.
