Puppy Crate training at home with adult dogs?
Hello, we have two adult dogs and added a puppy to the family. The dogs old were crate trained, but due to lack of space once they were about a year and a half we had so they can roam free of the house (without problems) We crate train the puppy, but three boxes just does not work for us. How difficult is it to crate train the puppy with two free running?
We have an adult dog and just got a puppy. We obviously need to checkout the puppy while we're at work and we had no trouble. Like all puppies, shouting and barking, while in the box, so make sure the older dog has access to the top so you can get away from noise. We were worried at first about the 2 dogs to get along, but have started playing together and now I feel much better. It took about 4 weeks. However, the puppy is still too young to be left out of the box when not at home. Good luck!
