Golden retriever puppy whining and barking in the box at night?
I just got a 9 week old golden retriever puppy and am having trouble with it be in the drawer of the night. Ladra and probably complains about 10-20 minutes each night and also if we let him run errands during the day. I read that you can put the crate in your bedroom, but some say it doesn't work. It is now downstairs in the kitchen next to my dogs another box. I can tolerate that lament, but I am very concerned about my neighbors are upset. I've heard of the cage with a cover sheet, leaving a clock, put an article of clothing with him, etc. but I would like to hear from the experience of what works. And how long this behavior? Has anyone tried to use the bed simulating heartbeats Comfort called the Pup? My other dog is a Chihuahua and was the perfect pup. I never had problems with it, so I have no idea what to do!
Enough a box, get a goat door and near the kitchen, to allow more space, and use wee wee pads for training. Your puppy needs more room to move. Naturally it only at night. A Kong toy with some special things inside will keep you busy until asleep. In addition, more exercise will help you sleep all night too.
