My 10 months. chihuahua eats old towels / blankets / pillows I have tried to use for the crate pads. What else is there? I do not want to leave it with nothing, I do not want be uncomfortable because it is there for hours while I'm at work, but I do not want to harm himself to digest foreign material. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. * * NOTE: not hungry, thursty, or is deprived of toys and attention. He is a very active care, very well taken of energy beam, only likes to eat things, like a child.

He is still a puppy and puppies chew and tear things when bored. That is very typical behavior puppy. They have an attention span, too, so when you're at work and he is alone, he's going to get bored. If you leave anything in the drawer with it, such as blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, etc. .. that will break. Unless you're there to immediately correct, there is not much you can do regard. You can try working with him not to chew when you're at home, but it's hard to back it up if they are not there to see how they do during the day. I have this problem with my dog 18 months old, so I can sympathize. What I suggest is to stop the blankets, pillows and stuffed toys out. It will not be physically uncomfortable without these things, and if you have him crate trained, do not pee or poop in the box anyway, water pills should not be necessary. Dale larger chew toy (things that he can not break up and drowned), leave a TV or radio, so it's not so quiet, and make sure to walk and play for a while before leaving. Thus, more likely to sleep while you're gone, and he will not be so boring.
