Count Dog

Makes walking your dog as having a good year?
Way to my big boxer dog 5-6 times a day in the street to the track for 10 minutes each time. Thus, Total walk about 60 minutes. What do you think? Is it the same as walking 60 minutes at a time? Or is really nothing that can ease the burden and healthy. Anyone have any idea how many calories burned? And if that changes if you do it once or spread out? I'm 6'2 175 pounds.
You know, the effect of exercise (walking, running, jogging) is cumulative. You can do it all at once for 60 minutes per session or what we are doing now, spread it over several sessions a day. At the end of day, spread outward you still exercise a threshold of either a 30, 45 or 60 minute session. The number calories burned while walking really depends on how fast walk. The faster than walking, more miles are covered in a shorter duration and higher intensity becomes which in turn helps burn more calories. It is best to run on foot (ie, walk like you're in a race). That way, you get to maximize the calories burned. I've written a guide to calories burned walking at a speed different here than you might want to check out: http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/calories-burned-walking.html
